Espresso Brew Guide

The iconic way to brew coffee—whether enjoyed as a pure, intense shot or softened with silky milk for your perfect flat white.

  • Grind Size: Fine

  • Coffee to Water Ratio: 1:1.8 to 1:2.2

  • Water Temperature: 93–96°C

  • Brew Time: ~30 seconds

 

How to Brew

 

  1. Add freshly ground coffee to your portafilter basket.

  2. Distribute the grounds evenly and tamp with consistent, firm pressure.

  3. Insert the portafilter into your espresso machine.

  4. Start the shot and brew until you’ve reached your desired output (typically 25–35g from an 18g dose).

  5. Serve as a rich, black espresso—or top with textured milk for your ideal flat white, latte or cappuccino.
